About B.Tech In
Civil Engineering
This university’s Department of Civil Engineering offers a four-year B.Tech. degree program in Civil Engineering. The department’s main objective is to offer a standard level of technical education and research guidance to the students to meet the various challenges in the profession and develop leaders in the field of civil engineering. The academic activity of the Department emphasizes a deep understanding of fundamental principles and the development of the creative ability to handle the challenges of Civil Engineering. The course curriculum is contemporary and balanced, covering all civil engineering specializations. The curriculum also allows the students to choose a number of elective courses, some of which are interdisciplinary. Departmental and interdisciplinary projects, as well as industry internship programs allow the students to complement their knowledge and give freedom to their ideas and visions.
The Department has developed state-of-the-art laboratories, viz., Solid Mechanics Lab, Geotechnical Engineering Lab, Transportation Engineering Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, Surveying and Geology Lab. A team of well-qualified, young, and energetic faculty members is an added strength of the Department.
